Mythologies of Weeds
The installation Mythologies of weeds, and interruptions between the paving is a tribute to weeds. Six plants (nettle, horsetail, thistle, clover, bindweed and dandelion) that are often considered ‘undesirable’ are assigned to new myths to reintroduce the spirit of nature in the city. In the photo and video projection, new narratives emerge about our relationships to nature. The hand-woven fabrics honor the fickleness of the six plants. Fragile yet vigorous. Stinging yet soft. Contrasting yet merging.
